Rhinology

Dr Tsakanikos has contributed to the writing of the below presented book of Professor Ioannis Konstantinidis, for the diseases and surgery of the nasal, paranasal sinuses and skull base.
Rhinology Ioannis Konstantinidis

"In the last twenty years, rhinology has been the most dynamic field of our specialty, both in research and in clinical practice. Today, the nose and the nasal passages are the main corridors at the access to the base of the skull. The evolution of technology with the new navigation systems, high-resolution 3D cameras and power tools gives new dimensions to the intranasal, endoscopic nasal and skull base surgery, and requires constant updating and effort on our part.

Through the Panhellenic Rhinological Society, I have had the opportunity to meet in recent years scientific events, conferences, surgical seminars, the exceptional rhinological potential of our country. Most of us have become friends and share the joy and anxiety of dealing with rhinological patients.

In recent years a large number of English-language Rhinology-Rhinosurgery books have been published, in some of which I have been actively involved in writing chapters. I have always thought that in Greece the "rhinological family" can and should publish a Greek-language book, which will be a guide to knowledge for young rhinologists. At the same time his writing can and should give a step to the Greek rhinologists. Thought and desire got "flesh and bones" and today we have the joy of this version. "
